While the technology of the internet has allowed a vast number of people to work independently from their homes, their hotel rooms, their favorite coffee shop, or wherever they might find themselves with their laptop, the drawback is that sometimes it is more difficult to communicate and collaborate with people working from different locations. The other thing that has made it easy for people to participate in conference calls are the free VoIP phone services like Skype, which is free when calling other Skype users. More and more often people are arranging to have audio teleconferencing meetings by using Skype exclusively; therefore eliminating all costs for all participants.
