Perfume is expensive. No one is arguing that fact. Eau de parfum is one of our little splurges that we just cannot seem to live without. But there are pitfalls when buying new perfume and cologne fragrances that are often unseen. People have turned to online shopping to help save time but buying perfumes online, without knowing how they smell, can be a poorly made decision. Just because a celebrity’s face is plastered on the cover does not make it a worthy scent.

Of course, the number one problem with buying perfumes online is the fact that the perfume and cologne choices you make may be brands that you have never worn before. A new perfume will react differently on each individual person. It may smell nice on your friend but may react differently with your body chemistry. The reactions will not be the same.

So if you are buying a new perfume online, then this can be a risky. You have no real idea what it will smell like. The answer is to go to your local department store that features a perfume and cologne counter, and spray or dab a fragrance on your skin. Here is the trick: you are only going to be able to do this one at a time. Most people make the mistake of smelling the cards and going from there.
