Brides spend a good deal of time finding just the right bridal dress for their walk down the aisle. The wedding dress is an important and memorable part of that most special of occasions. While the bride will certainly have many pictures taken of both her and her gown, she is also concerned about proper wedding gown preservation so that the dress can be maintained and cherished properly as a special memento.
Another reason to preserve the wedding gown is so that the bride can pass the dress on to another family member. Often when one finds the pefect wedding gown, it will also be useful and meaningful if worn by another family member who has a similar body style and size. Unfortunately, if it is not handled and stored the right way, then the result will almost always be disappointment because it will be damaged.
This can even be heartbreaking if a daughter has spent years dreaming about being able to wear her mother’s wedding dress for the occasion of her own marriage. But, good gown preservation will help to assure that such disappointment does not happen and that the heirloom bridal dress can be happily and proudly worn again.
