You And The Recycling Programs
Recycling programs have seen a rise in recent years. Last year over 32.5 percent of waste was recycled into other material. That is over 1/4 of the amount of garbage headed to landfills each year that will go on to become new, useable products. These programs are finally getting through to the public and more people are trying to help the environment and their communities.
So where do you fit in, with regard to recycling? Do you take part in a recycling program? Perhaps you just do not know how to go about joining part in the movement to keep recyclables out of the landfills. “Reduce reuse recycle” should be part of your daily mantra and you should know how to sort the various items into their respective recycle bins. If you aren’t doing so, then begin to change the way you throw out your garbage.
For recycling programs to work, you must do your part by sorting out your garbage at home. At first it may seem like a lot of trouble but in reality, once you have the appropriate recycling bins, it is just a matter of rinsing out the materials and placing them in the correct spot. How easy is that? You will be amazed at how much garbage is actually able to be recycled.
