Waste Management Responsibility
Have you given your waste management any thought today? Well, if you have not, then shame on you. Your environmental services recycling program needs you and you need it if you want to keep pollution and waste down. It is not like you can live on another planet anytime soon. Sorry to disappoint you but you are going to have to take some steps to help recycle and reuse the waste that you generate. It may seem difficult but it is very easy.
Waste in cities and towns across the globe continues to pile up. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that only thirty-two point five percent of people are now recycling more waste than ever before, which means a very large number of people don’t bother. Household hazardous waste pollutes the environment and continues to destroy our precious ecosystem. But you do not throw recyclables in with your regular trash, do you? Good, because that would mean you are not doing your civic duty.
Waste management touches every part of your life. Recycle your plastics, glass and paper products so they can be re-made into new products, thus keeping more trash out of landfills. Some of your recyclables could be worth money, such as recycling aluminum cans and taking them to a center for cash.
