An Explanation Of The Bail Enforcement
Have you ever seen a program that involved bail enforcement? These people are otherwise known as bounty hunters and have gotten a lot of press lately. Hit television shows such as “Dog the Bounty Hunter” have pushed the bail bond business into the spotlight. However, there may be some mystery about this career. They are not actually bond agents, but rather help the bail enforcement officer provides the court system with their invaluable services. You definitely do not want to be on the wrong side of this field.
Here is how a bail bond process works. The bond is set by the court and you have to post a bond in order to get out of jail until the court date. If you do not have the full amount of the bond, then you will need a bail agency that can pay the amount, or rather guarantee the amount. The bond is met by the bail bond agents and you have to pay around ten percent to the agency. A court date is set and you are expected to show up on your court date. If you fail to show, then it is forfeited and suddenly you are in more hot water.
A bail enforcement officer is called out once you have missed your court date and a warrant is issued for your arrest. He or she will track down your family and friends in their quest to find you. So not only do you have friends and family members being bothered but you have someone hunting you down to return you to jail. It makes more sense to just show up to court, does it not?
