Helicobacter pylori are tiny unicellular organisms. It is hard to imagine that something so small can be so devastating. The H pylori bacterium is such a thing and it plays a major role in the development of ulcers. Helicobacter pylori are nothing to sneeze at even though it is microscopic. You cannot see these unicellular organisms with the naked eye, but they can most certainly make you very ill. An H pylori ulcer cannot be treated as if it were a normal stomach ulcer or a duodenal ulcer. These organisms are tough. They are the only organisms that can withstand the acidic environment of the stomach. However, there are ways to rid you of this nuisance.
