Being Organized Helps To Manage Stress
The best way to minimize stress in your life is to be proactive about approaching it and dealing with situations that, most likely, will occur. Organizing your thoughts and being ready to deal with whatever comes your way can leave you feeling more relaxed and able to handle stressors. Of course, organization won’t eliminate stress from your life completely, but it can reduce the number of curve balls life could throw your way and you’ll have a good plan for dealing with surprises.
A calendar or planner will help immensely to get you organized and be prepared for events and obstacles. If there are holidays in the month in question, you will want to mark those if they are not on your calendar. Next you can write down any appointments or other obligations that are coming up.
It may also be helpful to write down your schedule if it is not the same everyday, as well as when your bills will be due. Creating a written budget will also help you alleviate stress by anticipating expenses, especially expenses or bills that do not follow a monthly cycle, like birthday presents or insurance. You might also write down things you want to accomplish, but that do not have a certain time they need to be finished.
After you know what you need to do during the month, you can look at each event individually and write down anything thing you will need to do to prepare for your events. By knowing what preparations you will have to make in advance, you will have plenty of time you get everything done, allowing you to take your time instead of doing everything at the last minute.
