Thanks so much for this article. I think the waking in the night for a teenager is dreadful. I am a grandparent with a particularly insolent 15 year old to raise and it has been very hard. Partly I resent having her, partly I love her and respect her, but right now I can’t stand the constant abuse and insults she hurls me. Incredibly rude and thoughtless, it is all about her…She has exhausted me. I have only had her since she was 12, and people say she has improved heaps but I have had enough now and feel a little guilty and a bit of a failure to give up.
