Using Free Sample Resumes
Having a good resume is not impossible. There are plenty of free sample resumes on the internet to help you create your own document. As well, you may also have a resume closer than you think. Some word processing programs, such as MS Word, come with resume templates to help you by allowing you to type in your information in their preset templates. The resume format is easy to follow. Simply save it on your hard drive for handy retrieval whenever you need to print or send a copy to a potential employer.
Microsoft Word offers templates that are standard components with their Office products. When you open Word, you are given the option of opening a document. You can choose New document and a template appears. Choose the curriculum vitae template and go from there. If you do not have Microsoft Word, then you can still find resume templates and curriculum vitae samples on the internet. One great place to visit is www.quintcareers.com/resume_samples.html. They offer a variety of formats from which to choose.
Free sample resumes are great ways to see what a professional resume should look like. There is a downside though. Most will not allow you to enter in your information and save the document. They are only designed to illustrate what the resume should look like, rather than offering the chance to use it to generate your own document. You can always use Microsoft Word to create your resume and cover letter though.
