A nursing assistant certification can be your ticket to a career that will enable you to work in virtually any state you choose to live. There are a limited number of nursing programs however, and due to the smaller nature of these medical assistant schools, there is often a waiting list. Individuals that are seeking to enter the nursing industry should sign up as soon as possible after high school to ensure they get their proverbial foot in the door.

In a nursing assistant program, the course of study is shorter and is usually a bit more available through adult education departments or community colleges.
