Scrapbooking Embellishments On Your Albums
In the world of scrapbooking there are several terms that people use frequently. You might hear about rubber stamping or scrapbooking embellishments. You hear about die cutting and machines that make stickers. There are all kinds of terms that are used for this hobby. If you want to become a scrapbooker, then you are going to have to know some of the very basics.
First off there are scrapbooking embellishments. These are usually the two or three dimensional stickers that you will stick onto the pages of your scrapbook albums. The best rule of thumb is to use these embellishments as a way to compliment the pictures in your layout. Do not use too many of them as you do not want them to be distracting.
If you elect not to use embellishments as a way to adorn your pages, then you can always use rubber stamping. You take a rubber stamp that is of some design and gently press it down onto an ink pad. The rubber stamp is then applied to different areas of the page where you would like to see some additional design. Using a rubber stamp is a great way to get kids involved too. They will love the idea of being able to stamp their own pages in your scrapbook.
