Deciphering The Indian Vedic Astrology
Today, you will meet a mysterious stranger with whom you will have a long conversation. You will find true love where you least expect it and your bank account will have numbers that do not add up so spend money wisely. In reality, none of these things may happen or they may occur. Indian Vedic astrology may not be the best astrology for you but many people are turning to this branch of astrology for its wisdom and advice on how to proceed best with their career, life and love.
Unlike Western astrology, in which there are only fixed constellations that do not allow for movement from the heavenly bodies, Indian Vedic astrology is more of a live astrology where the constellations move with the ecliptic. Ecliptic refers to the sun’s path through the celestial bodies. Over the course of two millenniums, the signs have shifted twenty-two degrees. This varies quite a bit from Western astrology.
Also called Hindu astrology, the celestial sequences that make up the constellations are divided into twelve equal parts. This is based on the three hundred and sixty degrees of the ecliptic. Each part of the ecliptic is called a sign. The signs themselves are given names based directly on the translation of the Greek names, such as “the bow” or “the ram.”
