Moisture can build up in your air lines because of the heat generated by the pump and may cause problems with many air tools that cannot tolerate moisture.

If using the compressor in a dirty environment, then you may also want to be sure that the compressor you purchase has a filter installed. Air coolers are also available to eliminate problems caused by temperature changes.
