Many of the best selling comics of all time have found themselves crossing over the medium of print into that of the cartoon universe. Unfortunately many people found themselves without the time to devote to watching the series in its regularly allotted time. Enter in the comic book collecting DVD as a means to watching your favorite comic book series come alive on screen and without worrying about trying to make the time in your schedule to watch it during its normally scheduled time.

The Batman Craze Collection

If finding out information on the latest comic book acquisition or researching potentially valuable comics to sell, all you have to do is go to a site like Batman.com. At Batman.com, you can find so much more than people used to be able to find within traditional brick-and-mortar stores unless they lived near a store specializing in comics and comic merchandising. Batman.com sells comics like “Nightwing: Love and Bullets,” as well as figurines, and even “MAD Magazine” merchandise. Batman.com and sites similar to it are what make online comic book collecting possible and a whole lot more fun than some of the more traditional means of collecting.

Since the dawn of time, physical combat has played a role in nearly every culture and civilization across the world. Differences in cultures and societies bring many different combat disciplines, commonly called martial arts, to the forefront.

Martial arts have been widely popularized by action movies featuring martial artists as heroes or villains. Perhaps the most popular is Bruce Lee, who led the wave of martial arts films in the West and created a fascination with the discipline.

The Symbolic White Belt

To a white belt, many of the traditional rituals are confusing. They seem pointless, or even tedious. Removing your shoes, bowing to just about everything and everyone and cleaning the dojo can seem annoying and unnecessary. After all, you’re there to learn the combative arts — you don’t need to know all these things! Of course, the reality is really something different.

True, when you signed up for martial arts traditional training you didn’t sign up to be housekeeper for the dojo, but as with any martial arts traditional training, there is always a deeper meaning to any action or request.

Going From The White Belt To Black Belt

Belt color is one of the most important and recognizable aspects of Japanese martial art training. The color of your belt tells other people what skill level you are at in your training. A black belt is one of the most impressive colors to achieve. Consequently, white belts signify a beginner or a student who has not acquired enough skills to move onto the next color. Fortunately, even black belts once had a white belt. Through hard work and discipline, that white belt will eventually be replaced by a black belt.

The Western Sword Arts

Whenever anyone mentions “martial arts”, we immediately think of Bruce Lee, Shaolin temples and the samurai warriors of ancient Japan. Nobody stops to consider that the Europeans had their own part to play in martial arts history and that Western sword arts are just as popular today as any of the Eastern martial arts. Martial arts is literally “The Art of War”. Western sword arts have their roots in Western culture as “fencing,” a basic exercise using the arms.

Learning The Martial Arts Business

Martial arts practices, through martial arts business, are meant to enrich the practitioner’s entire life and create balance and harmony within that life. It should be no surprise when traditional martial arts training is applied to business. This doesn’t mean that you go around beating up on your boss, employees or fellow co-workers to get your way. Martial arts business means that you approach your job or your business with the mind of a warrior. This mind of a warrior understands its opponents and uses well thought-out strategies to reach a specific goal.

Martial Arts Of Russia

Throughout history, people from all over the world have developed martial arts systems of their own. The roots are the same — local authorities once outlawed the lower class from owning and using weapons of any form, prompting people to find a way to protect themselves regardless. Korean martial art, Japanese martial art and other systems of martial art were created as farmers needed to protect themselves and their lands from invaders. These people, caught between the power struggles that went on around them, had to have some form of self-defense. This is how the Russian martial art developed as well.

Finding A Martial Art School

Any of the various martial arts styles have a rich history and tradition, so if you really want to learn, you’ll need to make sure you get into a proper school.
